My name is John Watkins, and I am excited that you are considering this opportunity to improve your student’s skills and confidence in upper level mathematics!
Of my 16 years of experience as a classroom teacher, I have loved serving the students of Coppell High School for the last 11 years. In 2021, I reached the milestone of teaching my favorite course as a student: AP Calculus. Teaching such a rigorous course like AP Calculus these last 4 years has made me love and appreciate calculus even more.
Additionally, I served the students and staff at CHS as Mathematics Department Chair from 2018-2023. This experience has given me unique understanding and insight into the (math) curriculum, policies, and administrators of Coppell High School and Coppell ISD.
I look forward building a relationship with your child and sharing my insights and expertise!

We offer upper level mathematics tutoring for the following subjects:
Calculus (AB/BC)
Precalculus (AP and On Level)
Algebra 2 (Honors and On-Level)
SAT/ACT Math
Subjects not listed above will be considered on an individual basis.
In Person Tutoring
$90
We will meet in person at a safe, public location in the heart of Coppell, TX for a 45 minute tutoring session.
Online booking for July and beyond will become available in late June.
Virtual Tutoring
$90
We will meet virtually for a 45 minute tutoring session. Students will need a iPad (or tablet) with the ability to share screens, so I can watch problems being solved in real time.

Group Tutoring

Group Sessions are only offered in person at a central location in Coppell

Online booking is coming soon! Appointments for July 2025 (and beyond) will become available in late June. Please email me for availability before July 2025.
Most appointments during the school year will be between the hours of 8am and 3pm. These appointments are ideal for students with a release period at the beginning/end of the day or students with a university style schedule.
Summer availability will vary week to week.
